Audit Committee Member
The Victorian Electoral Commission (VEC) is seeking to appoint an independent member with appropriate skills to its Audit Committee.The key role of the Committee is to:
- enhance the credibility and objectivity of internal and external financial reporting;
- effectively manage financial and other risks and protect VEC assets;
- ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations and frameworks as well as the use of best practice guidelines;
- ensure the effectiveness of the internal audit function; and
- provide an effective means of communication between the external and internal auditor, management and the VEC.
