No voting for Pyrenees Shire Council by-election
Alexander Carson has been elected unopposed to Pyrenees Shire Council’s Goldsmith Ward, following the close of nominations earlier today.
One nomination for the single vacancy on Council had been received when nominations closed at 12 noon.
Returning Officer Colin Nicholson officially declared Mr Carson elected shortly after the close of nominations.
“As a result, people enrolled in Goldsmith Ward will not be required to vote in the by-election,” Mr Nicholson said.
