Council profile

Shire of Melton is divided into three wards. There is a total of seven councillors.
  • Cambridge Ward  (2 councillors)
  • Coburn Ward  (3 councillors)
  • Watts Ward  (2 councillors)

This structure came into effect at the November 2008 election as a result of an electoral representation review conducted in 2008. For more information about the review, visit the Melton Shire Council representation review page.

Map of the Shire of Melton which is divided into three wards. Watts Ward in the north includes Toolern Vale, Diggers Rest, Plumpton, Hillside and part of Taylors Hill. Cambridge Ward in the south includes Exford, Eynesbury, Mount Cottrell, Rockbank, Caroline Springs, Burnside and Ravenhall. Coburn Ward in the west includes Melton, Melton South, Melton West and Kurunjang.
