Council profile

City of Whitehorse is divided into five wards. There is a total of ten councillors.
  • Central Ward  (2 councillors)
  • Elgar Ward  (2 councillors)
  • Morack Ward  (2 councillors)
  • Riversdale Ward  (2 councillors)
  • Springfield Ward  (2 councillors)

This structure came into effect at the November 2008 election as a result of an electoral representation review conducted in 2007. For more information about the review, visit the Whitehorse City Council representation review page.

Map of the City of Whitehorse, which is divided into five wards. Elgar Ward includes Mont Albert North, Box Hill North, Mont Albert and Box Hill. Central Ward includes Blackburn North, Blackburn and Blackburn South. Springfield Ward includes Nunawading and Mitcham. In the south, Riversdale Ward includes Surrey Hills, Box Hill South and Burwood, while Morack Ward includes Vermont, Forest Hill, Vermont South and Burwood East.
